Deborah founded Pioneer Valley Food Tours in 2017, with a desire to share the region’s excellent local food and create an entertaining experience. Her favorite part of being a guide is meeting different people on every tour. She looks forward to cooking with each season’s local produce and is often foraging in the forests of Western Massachusetts. Aside from cooking, she spends most of her time outdoors hiking, biking and skiing but she will always find time to watch a good film.
Davis Bannister (he/him) began as a guide with Pioneer Valley Food Tours in 2021, but has been living and eating well in the Pioneer Valley for nearly his whole life. He loves the local-food movement and is passionate about sharing the world-class food produced here in Western Massachusetts. Hosting tours, Davis will enthusiastically discuss which produce is currently in peak season and suggest plentiful local attractions tailored to your interests. When he is not leading tours, Davis is a freelance event planner, works at a local organic farm store, and enjoys hiking, cooking and playing tabletop board games with friends. Davis and his wife, Amanda, live in Hatfield with their two cats (Little and Skippy) and elderly dog (Rudy).
